Sweet Home Alabama Season 3
Hey ya’ll!! Well as some of you know, I’m back for Season 3 of Sweet Home Alabama as the Bachelorette! We are 2 episodes into the show and I can’t tell you how surreal it is watching this love story unfold every Friday night! It was such an amazing, wonderful experience and I really did feel like Reese Witherspoon torn between country and city guys on the movie “Sweet Home Alabama.” Hmmm….well maybe I felt like Bella in “Twilight” LOL!
Well I’m down to 17 guys now and I can’t tell you how hard it is to send guys home. I hate hurting anyones feelings and it’s so hard to look a guy in the eye and tell them they aren’t the one for you!
I mean take a look at these guys…I couldn’t have asked for a better group. How weird
is looking back on this day and not realizing I would end up with my soul mate. Now, I’m not gonna lie to you- I hoped to find love on the show but I wasn’t banking on it- you never know who you’re going to meet and I didn’t want to leave disappointed and I’m definitely not one to pretend for a show. I figured God gave me this opportunity for a reason and even if there was only a 1% chance of meeting my true love, I’d be crazy not to take that chance. Think about it, of all the guys or girls you meet, only one is going to be the one God made for you! I FOUND my LOVE! How crazy is that. I just can’t wait for ya’ll to hear all about it. Whew it’s tough being quite right now!
Ok City vs. Country guys. This makes this show hilarious. It’s fun to root for “your way of living.” Watching what these guys have to say about the different lifestyles is quite entertaining. I don’t get to see the different episodes until ya’ll do so some of it comes as a surprise to me. Several of you have asked if I knew what was going on in the house and I can say I knew some of it, but not all of it. I’m not too surprised by some of the boys actions though. I’m a pretty good judge of character! I don’t really blame the guys for the drama when 22 were living in a house with no TV, computer, internet, or radio, nothing to do but have some drinks and think about their buddies dating the same girl- EEK!! The last part is my fought LOL! Sorry Boys!
It’s crazy how close you become to the others in the house. I can tell you first hand how many lifelong friends I made from last season! You start to care for the girls or guys like brothers or sisters, yet you are almost all developing feelings for the same girl. It’s so strange. I, on the other hand, stayed in the same house use girls stayed in which was very nice. It was still hard for me not to be able to ask anyone for advice. No one on the show was allowed to talk to me about a thing and I didn’t have my phone or computer either. I needed to talk to my Mama sometimes LOL!

Shaun is my favorite cowboy on the show! So sweet, and so caring! Poor guy lost his horse and had a chance to go home. but he chose to stay with you! That’s a big deal for a cowboy choosing to stay with a women after what happened to his horse
Jeremiah is the one! Iam from Minnesota, married 30+ years to a Minnesotan, both of us born and raised in Minnesota and love M I N N E S O T A!!! It truly is a beautiful State, excellent education, arts and music worthy, four seasons to die for, and deep family values, not to mention all the outdoor life and activities year round, and “Minnesota Nice.” You could not go wrong with Jeremiah!

I love all the country guys but Bubba is my fav, he definitely is the perfect guy, hes a sweet heart, and your date last night with him was the best date ever. O my goodness Paige!!! First of all, you are so beautiful!! I wish I was as pretty as you! But seriously watching the show has really shown me that I can wait for that right guy. ‘Cause their are some good ones out there!! I’m so glad to hear you have found the one and you are in love with him!! You deserve to be happy!! This really has been my favorite season so far. It is so entertaining and the boys are very…hm…interesting. haha! You handle them all very well! But I would like to also say I’m glad you’re stickin’ to your beliefs and putting it out there that you are a lover of Jesus! It definitely shoes what kind of girl you are!
Right now after this last episode, I’m rooting for Bubba!!! He. Is. So. Stinkin. Cute. I don’t know if I have a second choice. He’s pretty much the whole package. I do like Dustin too. Even though he’s a city guy, he seems to have a good heart….and an amazing voice!!

Bubba is the one that seems perfect for you! He is real, holds himself well, cool-calm-collected, gorgeous, confident and the list goes on. Please don’t pick or go out again with the guy that was going to “leave the show”, you know Mr. Arrogant! He really trash talks country people and says how stupid they are. He is a J..E..R..K!!! He is so disrespectful to not just the country folk but himself and the city. SAD!! I really do think that if Bubba is given the time he would not only give you as much country as possible, but he would also give you the finest…maybe not city lights but, a real lasting relationship! Pray for the Lord’s guidance and he’ll help you choose the right one!

Paige, I can honestly say I have never responded to any kind of a message board like this. But late last night I was watching a rerun with a friend of the most recent episode. I got a case of the ‘warm fuzzies’ again re-watching your date with Bubba! Of course this is television and the producers have edited things to show us the ‘personality’ of each guy that they want us to see…but that being said, if Bubba is as real as he appears, I have to say I think he’s your man
I know the lure of the city can be great (and Shaun would probably be my first pick only because he reminds me of someone in my own life who is tall, dark and handsome just like Shaun, only he’s a nice country boy!) But, in the end, I don’t really believe you can take the country out of the girl. I was raised on a farm and spent a few years in a huge city and now that I have been able to get a horse again and kind of get ‘back to my roots’, I know I am as happy as I have been in awhile. So stay true to you and by the sounds of your post, you did and have found your one true love. All the best to you…I’ll enjoy watching the rest of the show and seeing who just ended up winning over your heart 
I don’t watch a lot of television, but I love love love this show. If I had my way, you would choose BUBBA. You two just seem SO right for each other. I also hope you include him in your blog, because, well, it’s a love story and I don’t want the chapter to end when the show does. I want to see how the story unfolds. Ditch the creep from the City – the arrogant one that was gonna leave, I think his name is Shaun. Plus, Paige he seems a little on the sissy side to me.
BUBBA!! BUBBA!! He has a geniune spirit about him. He never insults any of the other guys in the house or tries to make them feel inferior to him or insecure about you. He is so calm, easy going and well mannered. Tough enough to keep you safe but sweet enough to love you the way that you deserve to be loved. He just makes all of our hearts melt when we see him with you and when we hear him talk about how your happiness is the only thing that matters when all of this is said and done. In the last episode right before the elimination you told all of the guys that you were trying not to cry and he revealed to the cameras how he wanted to just grab you in that moment and tell you that “Everything is going to be alright baby”. How sweet is that! That’s the kind of man he is. Caring and tender! So my vote is for Bubba all the way. It has been from the very first episode! There is just that extra special something about him! Jeremiah – Is not the one. When you beat yourself up that much and cannot express your feelings you are in for a hard road. Believe I have been there and done that. Guys that cannot express there feelings have alot of problems. Her problems are only just beginning. He will hurt her and she will either have to live like this for the rest of life or she will leave. And believe me no one wants to live with someone that can not express their self. He says he is a strong Christian? But he doesn’t have enough faith in God to let me express his feelings. All I can say is that she is making the BIGGEST MISTAKE ever picking and that cannot express himself. He said….he rather shoot a bear than tell someone how he feels. He has rage and he is very jealous and it will bit her big. She needs to think about her faith because I dont think she has enough either.
Paige, I agree with all the Bubba fans. He is a true gentleman and loves you dearly. You haven’t talke to him much in recent episodes which is too bad. My husband is a cowboy and a true gentleman. Nothing wrong with living on a ranch and living an awesome country life. My husband even thinks Bubba is a great choice, and that is pretty good advice coming from a fellow cowboy. I sure hope you see that city boy for the jerk he is. Your first instict in Miami was on track. Gut instincts are usually the one to go by. Good luck and love. You are such a beautiful young lady and as a mother my advise to you is to follow your heart and gut intuition on who to choose. Don’t let anyone or anything influence you other than what your heart tells you. It’s not about where someone’s from, it’s about the chemistry always and the feeling he gives you when your together. True love will always get you through the hard times Paige. Don’t let anyone sway the decision you know is right!
Bubba is the one for you Paige. He is so caring and so sweet. He is definitely the southern gentleman you deserve. Some city boys just aren’t right for you. Bubba!!! What a gentleman he is…extremely good looking, handsome, caring, genuine and very romantic! He is very confident in himself in a great way and would probably make an amazing husband!
I know that Shaun was not your first pick. He was not mine either. But seeing the person behind the arrogance has caused me to really like him and he is really coming around. I would rather be with someone who is real than someone who is fake, so we have to see where that goes Most city people have their guard up because in the city you always have to watch your back. I think Shaun needs a girl like you to make him see that he can let his guard down. I think Bubba is an exceptional guy, they don’t make guys like him anymore, However, I always say “it’s in the kiss” that’s where it is! You will know which one is for you by the following: You’re excited when you see him, You don’t want the date to end, He makes you laugh, You can talk about anything, You are lost in his kiss, His eyes are fixed on you, the chemistry is undeniable.
I think Shaun Bigos is awesome! I thought he was a total jerk at first and now I laugh so hard at some of the things he does and says…I think he is my favorite!
OMG Paige! What a hard decision you have to make. I putting my vote in for Bubba for many reasons most of all he reminds me of my very own husband who is sweet, strong, loyal, confident, a smile to melt your heart, -too many wonderful qualities to name.
Bubba is everything that you will ever need, he is the shoulder to cry on, the hand to hold, the man to defend you when you need it and support you when your following your dreams. He’s a real man. If I wasn’t married believe me I would be tracking him down and proposing on the spot.
I truly believe that he is a guy that will be by your side for life. I know that the Lord will guide your steps, keep praying and follow your heart. But Bubba is the ONE!

Bubba, Or Sean. I have a funny feeling the fire fighter guy is who you picked and he seems scektchy even though he informed you of someone’s bad intentions or something along those lines. You gave everyone heck for giving him a hard time (CAN SOMEONE FILL ME IN ON THAT MOMENT). I DON’T KNOW HE SEEMS CREEPY AND FAKE, ANGRY & A TYPICAL JERK. HE SAVES LIVES YES, AVERY TOUGH JOB BUT SOME OF THESE GUY’S DRINK ALOT & DO DRUGS, BUT NOT ALL.

-so glad to see Landon go. The poor guy has some serious issues to work out before he looks for a life partner. He is a jealous, possessive control freak whose wife will live a life of isolation (as he will not want her to have anything to do with anybody else). It is easy to see why his daughter’s mom left him. As far as the original 21 guys, it is wonderful to know that there are still nice men out there. However, for me the show would have been over before it started as Bubba is an incredible human being. I would have not even been able to consider anybody else. There’s only one hesitation with Bubba: HOW CAN SUCH A FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL MAN STILL BE SINGLE.

Hello Paige, I know this show is probably geared more toward the gals, but I love it! I can’t help it. And where in the world did they hold the auditions? Because, I’m still kickin’ myself in the derriere for not not making it to one! Hey, I’m just an ol’ Kentucky boy, but I think I could hold my own (especially with a few of those snobby city boys) lol. I must say Bubba has been my choice for you the beginning…. I feel like you like him too, but that maybe there’s just that little something missing… not sure what it may be. I feel like you are like me, to an extent that is, and like a little bit of “bad boy”! Not enough, that maybe everyone else around would even notice! Just watched the finale. Think you made a huge mistake. Jeremiah is a great guy but he will never be able to give you the emotional support you need. Even though you may have had stronger feelings for him, Bubba is the perfect man and your love would’ve grown into a wonderful life. I really like Jeremiah for you from the very beginning. He is just exciting and mysterious although you have pick Bubba I like him too. Everybody has there own opinion… this is just mine i speak only on behalf of myself. You and Bubba made me cry when u were together because your perfect! Jeremiah will break your heart and this seems to be what women choose. Bubba was the safe pick and not enough of a challenge! Bubba is and will always be a pure country man! He was portrayed as the perfect man and not one person had any bad thing to say about him, nor did he have anything bad to say about them! I pray for your happiness and wish you the best. I just feel like in the end u may have said no to Jeremiah had he NOT acted so excited that u chose him before even saying so (in saying he chose u first). OMG… Paige….Really……You didn’t choose Bubba. I was in shock watching the finale. I still can’t believe you didn’t pick Bubba. He is so awesome. Jeremiah is a really great guy too, but I just didn’t feel the connection like i did with you and Bubba. You are a beautiful, sweet girl, and the bottom line is whomever made your heart melt is obviously who you picked. I pray for a long happy life for the two of you. Well the season finally came to an end on the 23rd of March. I missed a few episodes along the way becaue my hubby would cancel the recording due to it being in the way of some other show. I’m not sure what to make of these kind of shows. Like is it all on the up and up , everyone is just an actor/actress, etc. but I still seem to get caught up in it. From the get go I felt Bubba was the best out of them all. I think city Shaun would have went home almost right away if it were me there because of his comments against country guys and gals. Landon would have been sent home to because I don’t like the tattle tale, I believe he was looking out for himself not you. I don’t know that there was a city guy that I did like that much. I mean they were all nice guys but to stuck on themselves. Jeramiah with the whole hiding emotions problem I wouldn’t have been able to handle. If you truely have feelings for someone you say so simple as that. I had wanted to see you with Bubba. He put all that he felt for you out there each time the two of you spent time together. While Jeremiah didn’t have much to say unless you pushed the issue wtih questions. Poor Bubba goes home empty handed but hopefully he finds that love that nobody is going to keep him from. I do hope that you might the right choice for you and only time will tell. Best wishes to you and your man. Take care!

I am sooooo glad you picked Jeremiah. He was sooo shy but truly in love with you. You definitely followed your heart. Early in the season, you told him you were falling in love with him. I was suprised you admitted your feelings so early. That was a clue to me that Jeremiah was and is the guy for you!!
The BEST SEASON YET!!! Don’t need to watch any more seasons.
I keep playing the last episode over and over. I am wondering if the last episode was scripted. I get the chills when Bubba gives his farewell.

I have to apologize to you Paige, and to Jeremiah. Seeing you both so happy through all the photos that you have been posting, I think that you are a match made in heaven! Your eyes sparkle in every photo (as do Jeremiahs). I hope that you have a long wonderful life together! What other people have to say is their opinion and they are entitled to it, that’s what makes us individuals but only you and Jeremiah know what you’re hearts feels and that is all that matters.
